Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association
We strive to serve the public
by providing accurate information about real Christmas trees. We coordinate
and promote activities that educate and benefit the Christmas tree and wreath industry.
Trees for Troops
We are expecting over 600 trees to be donated by Christmas tree growers at
the three pick up locations in Wisconsin for 2009. FedEx is donating the
transport of the trees to the military bases.
Pick-up locations:
Pleasant Valley Tree Farms, N7240 810th St, Elk Mound, WI 54739. Contact Robin Scharlau at 715-879-5179. Pick up date is November 30th at 10 am and the trees' delivery destination is Scott Air Force Base, IL.
The Midway at Marathon Park, 1201 Steward Ave, Wausau. Contact Charles Newby at 715-574-7272. Pick up date is November 30th at 10 am and the trees' delivery destination is Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Lambeau Field, 1265 Lombardi Ave (Northeast parking lot off Lombardi and Oneida), Green Bay. Contact Dave Vander Velden at 920-660-8567. Pick up date is December 1st at 10 am and the trees' delivery destination is Fort Knox, KY.
Consumers can buy a tree for the troops or donate cash for the program:
Consumers may visit the following retail lots during Trees for Troops Weekend (Dec. 4-6, 2009) to purchase and donate a Real Christmas Tree to be distributed to military families nationwide. Some locations will also be accepting preorders and cash donations-please call ahead for details.
